Network List for the United States

NWTRCC maintains a list of names and addresses of more than a hundred individuals and local organizations in forty states that may assist you in finding the support you may need to decide about acting on your conscientious objection to paying taxes for war and the military, to learn what your options are and the consequences they are likely to bring. We hope you will use it to network with others who share your concerns.

Phone numbers and street addresses of individuals are generally not listed on internet web pages. Individuals and small organizations without e-mail, PO boxes, or commercial/institutional addresses are generally not listed on internet web pages. The symbol “♣” is used to indicate the presence of names not listed here for these reasons. Please ask the office for contact details helpful for your needs.

They are listed by region and mostly in zip code order. All the persons or groups listed should be able to give you basic information on what war tax resistance or conscientious objection to paying military taxes is and reasons to engage in it, resources, strategies, and local activities. Additionally, NWTRCC affiliates are involved in the movement at a national level; alternative funds (also on a separate page) provide a vehicle to redirect refused tax money; and counselors are prepared to individually help you clarify your decisions in regards to taxes, to explore how to implement them, and to understand the possible consequences of your decisions.

National groups often have local or regional chapters which may provide you with contacts, too. If you are facing litigation because of your actions, please contact someone on this list or the national office for legal referrals. All the persons listed should respect your level of discretion and desire for confidentiality. We trust you will use the list only for the purposes for which it was compiled.
