Public Transport Directions from Airport and Downtown Boston:

1) take the Silver Line (bus) from Logan Airport to South Station. (Fare is $2.00; might need exact change.) Buses leave every ten minutes or so, and the trip to South Station takes 20 minutes or so.

2) At South Station, change for the Red Line; take Red Line inbound two stops to Park Street.

3) At Park Street, change for the Green Line, on the outbound side. There are four different routes on the Green Line; the one you want is D/Riverside.

Take the D/Riverside train to Woodland (next to last stop, and the trip lasts a half hour or so once you board a train).

Whole trip from airport takes probably an hour and 15 minutes and costs $2. Someone will be there to take people from Woodland to the Peace Abbey.

From Boston
Mass Turnpike 90 West to Route 95 South. Exit on Route 16 West. Follow 16 to Sherborn. At T intersection, turn left onto Route 27 South (still 16 West). The Peace Abbey is 1/4 mile down on 27 on the left before fork in road.

From New York
Interstate 95 North to 495 North. Exit at 109 East. Take 109 to 27 North in Medfield, MA. Take left on 27 and continue over Charles River into Sherborn. Take right into driveway just beyond first stop sign. Pacifist Memorial and Gandhi statue are visible at stop sign.

From New Hampshire/Maine
Take I95 south to Route 9. Go West on route 9 to Rt. 27. Take Rt. 27 toward Natick-Sherborn. Pass through Natick into Sherborn (see above to the Abbey)

From Western Mass/Vermont
Get to the Mass Pike and take it toward Boston. Take Exit 13, Rt 30 E toward Natick/Wellesley. Turn onto MA-30 briefly then right onto Speen St. for 2.8 miles. Turn left onto Coolidge St for 1.2 miles. Turn right onto N. Main St./MA 27 and go about .9 miles. Abbey is on the left - 2 N. Main St.
